The start (or more accurately, the next instalment) of a story that has been running for the past 35yrs...
After a few years use the Morris was re-built by me during the '80's the rusted areas of panels were cut out & new metal welded in, I used oxy-acetylene to make the welds... & everything was then cleaned back to bare metal & protected as much as possible... Seems to have worked as it's satisfying to find that 30yrs later the majority of the panels I made & fitted then are still perfectly sound!
It's now time to attend to the areas that have inevitably deteriorated since.
The plan is to reduce the car to a rolling shell, get the metalwork sorted & then a bare metal re-spray & back home for re-assembly...
Yesterday saw the start of the disassembly process...
