New pump fitted minus all the "security" devices! plunger from the fuel cut-off valve was removed to make sure there was nothing that would stop fuel getting through, the only way to stop the engine now is to stall it in gear, but that should be easy to rectify so that it stops on the key. I guess I'll look for a cable near the engine that shows 12v when the ignition is on & hook it up to that...Having gone to all this trouble, I'll be changing the timing belt now too!
