Honda PC50 1970

 After a bit more investigation the lack of spark was traced to the contact breaker... some of the fibre insulating washers were missing...
Once that was sorted (by borrowing a set of points from another engine I just happen to have) the little Honda started up... minus the exhaust at first, so it was a bit noisy, but it started really easily! Even more impressive considering the last time it was road registered was 1979...
Once the exhaust was re-fitted & the carb set up it ticked over like the proverbial sewing machine!


Still a few more bits to sort... front brake cable, new brake shoes would be nice & the dip switch only works intermittently.... nothing too difficult

The Jury is still out on the non-starting problem of car #2, research so far would seem to point to the injector pump as being the guilty part. Hopefully more research will lead to confirnation of that this week?

Car #1 had a replacement lefthand driveshaft fitted, during which it was noticed that the brake pads were down to their last few miles, so they were replaced later the same day
